STATISTICS AND PROBABILITY course introduces students to basic statistical concepts such as organizing data, numerical descriptive measures, probability and its applications, probability distributions, sampling, estimation and hypothesis testing. This course involves techniques to summarize and make sense of data, often using measures like mean, median, and standard deviation. Students will also explore the foundation to utilize appropriate statistical tools and probability models for decision-making.

CLO1C : Apply basic concepts of statistical and probability methods to solve statistical problems (C3, PLO2)
CLO2P : Construct data analysis using appropriate statistical methods to estimate mean, proportion and standard deviation (P2, PLO3)
CLO3P : Build a hypothesis testing to make accurate decisions based on the given samples. (P3, PLO7)
