DVV20164 Cinematography

Cinematography exposes students to setup of lighting and camera when recording photographic images for the use of video or film. It is closely related to the art of still photography. This subject aims to expose students to the basic principles and practices of video production from concept development to planning, selection, and resolution. By developing the student’s critical appreciation of film/video, it will provide awareness towards film/video languages, terminologies, and processes. By practically applying this knowledge to the development and realization of a concept, students are hoped to learn the production of a shot sequence in a structured and supportive manner.
